Dawn Scott is a visual artist who paints mainly with acrylics but she also enjoys painting in oils and watercolours.
Like many artists, her camera is always close by to catch a scene that begs to be painted, from morning light and shadows on a row of trees to a delicious red poppy bathing in the sun.
Light and bold colours play an important part in all her paintings.
Inspirations for her paintings come from the beautiful area where she lives in the Shuswap, her lush flower gardens, her grandchildren and travels with her husband.
Dawn is basically self taught although she has taken workshops from a number of well known Canadian artists.
Dawn is an active member of the BC Federation of Artists through the TNSC and NOFCA.
